Who we are
This website is operated by Rainwater HOG LLC, Sally Dominguez, in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you have a question, write to sally@adventurousthinking.com.
Information we collect
We collect personal information that you choose to give us, and the basic technical information needed to run the site.
- Quote request: your email address, a US ZIP code so we can estimate delivery, the setup you describe (such as the number of HOGs, how they stand, and the options and color you select), and an image of that setup as shown in the configurator.
- Technical information: our website host processes information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, so the site can be delivered and protected against abuse.
We do not use an analytics service, and we do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
Fonts and the 3D view
The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts and its 3D library from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Your browser requests those files from them. They may process technical information, such as your IP address, under their own policies.
How we use your information
- To reply to a quote request.
- To operate, maintain, and secure the website.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the site and receive quote requests. The site is hosted on Vercel. A quote request is sent to us in Slack. They may use the information only to provide those services.
- Google and Cloudflare, when your browser loads the typeface and the 3D library, as described above.
- Authorities or others where required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, such as replying to a quote request, and then delete it, unless we need to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to sally@adventurousthinking.com. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors over time or across other websites, and we do not sell or share personal information. Visitors are treated the same whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
This website is operated from the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, including California water agency sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the date at the top of the page will be updated.
